Whether you are a huge football fan or not Super Bowl day is a pretty big deal..especially for marketers. As Super Bowl LIV is approaching quickly, marketers are hustling to finish up their high-priced creative ads before February. The big game is known for a high ad revenue, raking in $382 million in nearly 50 minutes from last year’s game ads, according to MarketingDive.
For 2020’s game, marketers took 77 slots by Thanksgiving, some going for as much as $5.6 million per 30 second spot. This is the earliest the Super Bowl has sold out since 2011. TurboTax’s new campaign “All People Are Tax People” reaches the 7th annual spot. The ad will run for 45 seconds and will feature a 60 second anthem video that will broadcast across digital and social platforms. For the first time, Sabra will make its dip into the Super Bowl advertising. It is reported to run a 30 second spot.
Another big ad to expect is from Toyota, which will promote its 2020 Highlander model in a 60 second ad during the game and the ad is expected to run through mid July 2020. For the 10th anniversary, Snickers will return with the “You’re Not You When You’re Hungry” for their sixth Super Bowl spot.
